To those of you just joining us for the second half of the CSA season, welcome! And thanks to all of you for supporting our local farmers this year.
Monsoons continue and the crops are loving it. The weeds and the bugs are too, of course, but that is just the way of the world. We are still enjoying an incredible tomato year and this week we get our first taste of Italian sweet peppers. These are so tasty on salads or just eaten on their own. You can also try the Broccolini and sweet pepper recipe I’ve included below.
I just returned from a 5-day rafting trip and am experiencing motion sickness now that I’m back on solid ground, so I’m keeping it short and sweet. Enjoy the last few days of summer break and I’ll write more next week.
Have a fabulous week!
