Happy Memorial Day! We hope you are all having a nice long weekend. Hope and Hilary at Willowbrook Farm are even taking the morning off to go tubing on the Verde River. Farmers don’t usually get a day off during the summer, so that weed cloth they started using must be making all the difference!

We worried that you might be overwhelmed by the amount of greens you will be receiving this week. Although some of them are attached to root veggies, all the greens are edible, so be sure to check out our backlog of recipes from seasons past for inspiration. One of my very favorites is Carrot Top Soup. And when in doubt just add them to a smoothie!

If you are looking for extra items from Verde Gardener and Willowbrook Farm this week, you can order here. Ordered items will be brought to CSA distributions for you to pick up. Contact Susan or Denise for more information.

Have a great week!
Meghan
